King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center

To augment and support the Center’s proprietary research, the KAPSARC Energy Data & Modeling Center (ED&M) collects and analyzes data in the energy, environmental and economic sectors for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Employing data collection best practices, ED&M compiles, benchmarks, and disseminates regional and global energy data through publicly-available databases and sizable libraries, both online and physical. The Energy Data & Modeling Center devotes its efforts to:

• Tracking technological developments in the petroleum and alternative energy sectors.  ED&M surveys recent developments and innovations in these two fields and studies the impact of these developments on the role of oil and gas as feedstock and energy for industry.
• Monitoring environmental interests and policies. ED&M follows a wide variety of global interests related to the environment and determines their impact on the petroleum market and the petroleum industry as a whole.
• Supplying information to the Saudi government and the private sector. Through ED&M, an extensive collection of information—data tracked by KAPSARC as well as findings from KAPSARC research and studies—will be available for the benefit of both the concerned agencies of the Saudi government and private sector Saudi organizations. Making this information widely available throughout the KSA will contribute to the promotion and advancement of the performance of the petroleum industry in the Kingdom.
